Real name Pamela Rooke, she was an English model and actress known for her work with Vivienne Westwood and the Sex boutique in the Kings Road area of London in the mid-1970s, & for attending many of the early Sex Pistols performances. Her style and dress sense, a bleached platinum blonde bouffant hairdo with dark raccoon-like eye make-up made her a highly visible icon of the London punk subculture. Along with Johnny Rotten, Soo Catwoman & Siouxsie Sioux, she is credited with creating the London punk look.

Susan Lucas, better known as Soo Catwoman, was a member of London's early punk subculture. Lucas was active in the London punk scene between 1976 and 1978, where she became a muse of photographer Bob Gruen & befriended the members of the Sex Pistols. Her distinctive, cat-influenced hairstyle is an iconic image within punk, & has led to her being featured in publications. Her image has influenced other pop culture figures such as Keith Flint, & fashion designers including Junya Watanabe, Chanel, Obey & Mugler.

Gaye Black, is an English punk rock musician, who played bass guitar in the band The Adverts in the late 1970s. She was one of the first female rock stars of the punk rock movement, whom The Virgin Encyclopedia of 70s Music called the "first female punk star". She was "one of punk’s first female icons". Dave Thompson wrote that her "photogenic" looks, "panda-eye make-up and omnipresent leather jacket defined the face of female punkdom until well into the next decade"

Hynde was born in Akron, Ohio & became interested in hippie counterculture & Eastern mysticism. While attending Kent State University's Art School for three years, she joined Sat. Sun. Mat., a band which included Mark Mothersbaugh, later of Devo.
In May 1973, Hynde moved to London. Here she met rock journalist Nick Kent & landed a pjob at the music magazine New Musical Express (NME). This job gave her access to the early punk seen in london, but after becoming bored with writing 'drivel' for the NME, she got a job at Vivienne Westwood & Malcolm McLaren's clothing store, Sex.
